Saturday March 21st 2009 My New Bike!

Well folks after six months of waiting, I have finally received my cheque from the insurance company for my bike (see previous blog, it?s far too painful to go over again). I was told at the beginning of December that it was in the post and it arrived the second week of February, guess the pigeon was delayed by the bad weather. It would appear that insurance companies are very quick to take your money but not so keen to part with it. This is the insurance company recommended by British Triathlon, I am sure I still would not have received my money if I had not put in an official complaint and said I was writing to the insurance ombudsman. Anyway I finally have my grubby little hands on the dosh and have spent it!

Yes after 4 hours of hard labour Lynn and myself have a new addition to our family, a brand new Orbea Ora in stunning red and white. Viewing can be arranged for £10 per viewing, I must admit there has not been the interest in the viewings that I had hoped for. I purchased my new steed from Epic Cycles in Worcestershire www.epic-cycles.co.uk and they were one of the most attentive and helpful shop I have visited. I would highly recommend them if you are considering a new bike plus they make a good cup of tea.
